Lilly Pulitzer Preppy Baby Shower Ideas

Since baby girl #2 will be here in only a few short weeks, I figured I should probably get my act together and finally share my baby shower during my pregnancy with Summer. I’m only about two years late haha. Oops? Regardless of my tardiness, I just had to share the beautiful Lilly Pulitzer-themed baby shower my mother-in-law and sisters-in-laws put together for me! Every detail was absolutely beautiful, and it was a wonderful time to celebrate Summer before she made her big debut.

This gorgeous display was the star of the show! Unique and Chic Creations (also on  and Instagram) hand-crafted this stunning wooden monogram sign for Summer’s nursery, but it doubled as a beautiful centerpiece for the dessert table. My mother-in-law and sister-in-laws also hand made the incredible paper flowers that hang overhead the table. I was blown away by their creativity and talent! 


There were so many personalized touches throughout the event that I absolutely loved. This beautiful pink cake was handmade by Unique and Chic Creations (also on  and Instagram), and I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious it was. Underneath the gorgeous pink icing was a homemade key lime cake that was a huge crowdpleaser! I couldn’t recommend her services more if you’re hosting an event in the Ocala or Central Florida area!

They also set out “Daddy’s Cravings” (Lemonheads) and “Mommy’s Cravings” (pickles) throughout the event in addition to other delicious snacks like homemade chocolate pretzel sticks decorated like pineapples and the most beautiful tropical cake pops from Littlebits Cake Pops shaped like pineapples, flamingos, and more! In addition to being great snacks, the cake pops and pretzel sticks doubled as favors for all of the guests to take home.

One of the things I loved the most about the baby shower was how they incorporated some of the gifts into the party decor. The monogram sign now hangs above Summer’s crib, and the adorable baby outfits matched the decor perfectly while also making practical baby gifts! We also purposed quite a bit of the decor for Summer’s nursery-  including the precious flower clothespin and Lilly Pulitzer bunting.

Another way to add a personal touch to the decor is to display your pregnancy announcement and/or maternity photos. My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law had our baby announcement and gender reveal photos printed and framed, and it added such a fun touch to the party decor.




Every single detail of this Lilly Pulitzer baby shower was just perfect, and I’m so blessed to have such thoughtful women in my life to plan such a special party to honor our baby girl!

While we received so many thoughtful and useful gifts, I was blown away by this handmade crocheted blanket from Ryan’s grandmother. Can you believe how the scalloped design and color matches the cake and monogram sign perfectly? True story- she had no idea what the decor for Summer’s nursery or this baby shower would be. How crazy!




Thanks again to my mother and sisters-in-law for planning such a gorgeous event, and thanks to all of our family and friends who took time to celebrate with me! It was such a beautiful day, and I’ll never forget all of the special moments.
